Gavilan Commodities was founded in March 2019 by James Gavilan — a multi-decade Wall Street finance veteran, global commodities professional and industry conference speaker — to provide capital raising and strategic advisory services across the commodity supply chain.

GavCom strengthened its financial advisory capabilities through a partnership with Alberto Washington, founder of a boutique Latin America‑focused financing advisory. As Managing Director of Finance, Alberto brings extensive experience in capital raising, project finance and structured financing solutions.

GavCom expanded its model by partnering with a global mining-services and consulting firm — adding deep technical and operational expertise across project studies, scope definition, project controls, execution oversight and technical studies, as a complete, holistic solution for clients in the mining industry.
